{"id":14,"date":"2026-09-21T02:26:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T02:26:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bangingbiteskitchen.com\/?p=14"},"modified":"2026-09-21T02:36:37","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T02:36:37","slug":"arroz-imperial-with-maduros","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bangingbiteskitchen.com\/?p=14","title":{"rendered":"Arroz imperial with Maduros"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arroz imperial with Maduros is a delicious Cuban-style chicken and rice dish layered with creamy cheese and topped with savory ham ,then served with sweet plantains.It\u2019s comforting ,flavorful and perfect for a family meal or a special occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-subtitle is-style-text-subtitle--1 wp-block-paragraph\">Ingredients <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 cups of pre boiled rice <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 pound of any chicken with bone <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 pounds of chicken breast <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 lb ham , chopped <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 cups shredded mozzarella ( freshly grated preferably)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 cups of mayonnaise <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 onion <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 gloves of garlic <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>oregano <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp cumin <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 bay leafs <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>complete seasoning <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>saz\u00f2n Goya ( for coloring )<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>chicken bouillon <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-5 ripe plantains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>oil ( for frying plantains ) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup of ragu sauce <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 can of peas and carrots <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-text-display is-style-text-display--2 wp-block-paragraph\">Instructions <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then add these steps as numbered list :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make a stock , bring to boil the chicken , bay leaf\u2019s, oregano and chicken bouillon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once chicken is fully cooked, shred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saut\u00e9 chopped onions and garlic , cook until softened.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add chicken , ragu , complete seasoning cumin and stir for about 5 min. <br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rinse 3 cups of rice and add 4 cups of chicken stock that was prepared.Add sazon goya with drained peas and carrots along with salt to taste <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a safe oven dish, brush with mayonnaise add one layer of rice then spread a thin coat of mayonnaise on top of rice ,evenly spread cheese and shredded chicken.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repeat layer, rice , mayo ,chicken , generous amount of cheese then top with shredded ham (optional)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake at 375 F for about 20 -25 minutes, or until hot and cheese is melted and lightly golden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>While imperial rice bakes , peel and slice ripe plantains ,fry them in oil until golden brown on both sides.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve imperial rice warm with sweet Maduros on the side. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prep time<\/strong> : 30 min <strong>Cook<\/strong> <strong>time<\/strong> : 1 hour <strong>Total<\/strong> <strong>time<\/strong> :1 hour 30 min <strong>Servings<\/strong> :8 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Arroz imperial is perfect for family dinners ,parties ,and special occasions.Serve it warm with sweet Maduros for the perfect Cuban-inspired meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arroz imperial with Maduros is a delicious Cuban-style chicken and rice dish layered with creamy cheese and topped with savory ham ,then served with sweet plantains.It\u2019s comforting ,flavorful and perfect for a family meal or a special occasion.
